Fiber PLC Splitter Cassette Type SC / APC , 1×2 Widely Used In PON And CATV Networks

Planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology allows for high split ratios in compact, low-loss, reliable devices. FOCABLE’s singlemode fiber optic PLC splitters are passive optical devices used to split incoming signals into two or more output signals. They work over a broad wavelength range from 1260 nm to 1650 nm.

PLC splitters are widely used in PON and CATV networks. They help distribute fiber signal in "tree" network configurations, with one common fiber serving multiple branches. Splitters help save precious fiber strand resources, but also provide a shared media that forces a token data approach for subscribers. PLC splitters are very reliable and affordable, they come into different packages, from small thin aluminum barrels to ABS and LGX boxes and finally 19" rack mountable units.

Cassette type: installed in 19 inch standard rack; in fiber branch home, installation device is provided in the optical fiber cable transfer box; branch home, installed customer specified equipment.
